I'm not sure if there is no magic there are miracles angels demonic possessions exorcism etc why no magic? Certainly they believe themselves in it they call for Satan or cast spells

Many years ago when I was much younger like in my early twenties for short period of time I became very interested in Occult things.
I started out studying Astrology,Numerology and Tarot then later I would go to certain Occult book shops and started buying lots of books on Old occult rituals and ceremonies etc,. I personally didnt identify as a Warlock or with any specific Occult group or religion ...I just at the time had an interest in that stuff, eventually I came to feel that there was this weird energy around my house with having all those Occult books on archaic rituals /Aleister Crowley etc so one day I just threw all those books out and never went back to it.
Each to their own but I just feel that stuff leads to somewhere ... there is definitly an enerygy attached to that stuff and its not an energy of light.

I think because modern occultism is based on Judaism/Kabbalah. It's not for Europeans.
I'm not saying it doesn't work, but we have our own belief system.

This probably had to do with the mini-ice age that they were experiencing at the time, as well as other stresses, like wars and religious instability. The wheat was infected with a fungus that was causing people to hallucinate. This is why I think it's unfair to judge people of that time too harshly for the things that happened.

I'm sure that many strange looking and acting people were accused of being witches. Some of them maybe were witches, some just seen as a threat for some reason. Some of them probably had mental health issues.

Wise move to get rid of that stuff. Not worth it. Same goes for Ouija boards and such things. A very wrong way to deal with the spiritual world.

I don't think you are any more safe from that "dark energy" if you practice more "traditional European occultism".

Do you think that Kabbalists influenced modern occultism by the way? It could have been vice versa. And all mystic traditions might be loaning stuff from Eastern religions anyway.

Turks have always been more moderate about such stuff. There were no witch trials and etc.

Yeah, they probably were not that strict about pagan influences unless someone was literally a non Muslim or a political threat. Some goes for Russia, they didn't burn many witches unless they were literally different people with different religions. Then they could get very bloody.
