Yeah, happy as in they have a safe and prosperous life. Sad as they have to freeze their balls off all the time.

Already posted these to that original thread. Opinions stays hard... I see.
Numbers of suicides in Finland 1970 to 2014
Men = blue.
Women = red.
The same bit other ways. Numbers of suicides per 100 000 inhabitants (2017)
From up to down
Lithuania
Latvia
Hungary
Belgium
Finland
Germany
Sweden
Italy
Greek
Cypros
As we see Finland starts to approach the average level of Europe. That is simply result of great hard work (society). Still the risks are there (dark long winters and culture of keeping problems inside, habits to drink etc.).
One of the most saddest suicides are those which happens on the roads ... one will drive a car against lorry/truck (some truck drivers have needed to change their job because of becoming traumatized) or even worse ... against another car .... killing/injured other totally innocent people. I will never ever accept those (cowards people).

Warm countries tend to have happy people imo.

The guy in the video explains it reasonably well. It depends how you define and measure happiness.
Pigs spend their lifetime in mud with a smiley face, are they happy? I don't know.
Also, summer is actually pretty warm in the south and Helsinki where most of the people live and where this was apparently filmed. Rain and fog and constant cold humidity is what would most people define as a "shitty" climate, not dry and cold or dry and tempered.

Finns feeling happy has nothing to do with climate.
It comes from:
Society, how it works. Very fairly, and less corruption vs other countries.
Nature and air, how clean those are
Standard of livings...high enough to most of people (if not even to all)
Rarely populated country, country sides are close.
1000 of lakes (at summer times)
All the way developed country (always in top 10)
