Playing around with some Census data today from the American Community Survey...

65.5% of Hispanics identify as white-only, and 71.3% identify as at least partly white. This is almost the same rate as non-Hispanics (72.3% of Americans identify as white-only, and 75.1% identify as at least partly white).

Interestingly, it's mostly in red states. The correlation between % of state vote for Hillary and % of Hispanics that identify as white is -47%.

I think that Hispanics truly are integrating in Red states, but in Blue states they are not.

How white is America? According to the 2017 American Community Survey run by the US Census (the most recent data), 72.3% of Americans list their race as "White Only."

Among the 107 metropolitan areas with over 500,000 people, 4 are more than 90% white:
94% - Portland, Maine
91% - Provo, UT
90% - Scranton, PA
90% - Ogden, UT

Among the 40 metropolitan areas with over 1.5 million people, 6 are more than 80% white:
86% - Pittsburgh
82% - Providence
82% - Cincinnati
81% - Denver
81% - Portland, Oregon

The following regions are over 80% white:
88% - Appalachia (Knoxville + Pittsburgh + WV + KY)
87% - Great Plains
82% - New England
81% - Mountain West
80% - Pacific Northwest

But how accurate is this census really? I mean, in my own opinion, European Americans are the real White people, and I don't count MENAs like Jews or Arabs as Whites. I think it's below than 60%.

I don't know. The data is pretty much what everything else is based on though.

The problem about this is the concept of self-classification, which means that a Mestizo or Pardo can say he's white. I know there's no more one drop rule etc, but if we are going to drop 95% or less out, Whilte Latinos would go like 1% to 5% only.

Because we are sneaky bitchy people we identified what ever race we think is convenient for a certain porpuse.

For example when I applied for my college scholarship I applied that my race was american indian even though I don't have a recent full native ancestor from the last 200 years only multiracial mestizos and spaniards from my mother side.

Well I agree it is a minority who are, but how did you reach that specific figure?

A very small number of "hispanics" from Mexico/Central/South America are full European, and even many castizos don't pass as average Euro Americans. I have to wonder why such a large chunk of them identify as white when there are so many advantages in hiring, school admissions, and media when you are black or hispanic.
