If you know history, you know that many Jewish tribes had different appearances. Jesus was from the line of King David. King David had red hair and a ruddy complexion. That hardly sounds typical of the Mena type, but there it was in the same region. You had Jews that looked very dark (like sub Africans) and then ones that were fair skinned and blue eyed like Europeans.

Their faces look too much like each other. But maybe it's their uniform haircuts that make this impression.
