There was a nasty story in Poland with runs running an asylum for young people and children. They would abuse the kids, degrade them and willingly ignore the sexual abuse of older children (some of them were adults already from dysfunctional families) on younger ones.

And don't even get me started on things that used to happen in Ireland for so long.
