well I was angry at the captain America thing, but I like Valkyrie lol. She's not even that black lol - her mom is mexican/euro, dad is afro-panamanian. I really like her character and story and the actress who plays her is fantastic

I can see your issue, I don't care about race; I don't think the average American does either. But Disney/Marvel tend to be too political in all aspects lately. It would be weird to see a Northern European as the King of Wakanda lol. I think they are trying too hard to appease the award industry and all its politics. There are tons of cool people in the Marvelverse that are African like Bishop, why not just add them to the mix to create diversity?

that a large chunk of International Box Office comes from China, Africa as well.

But if the shoe was on the other foot and they made say Cyborg from DC an Urban "White" guy like Post Malone, people would decry that it was cultural appropriation. It's not even really that there is a difference in ethnicity in the Asgardians, but that its a double standard type thing imo.
