The statistical error with a sample size of 22 is so high that the resulting statistic has very little meaning.

I would trust statistics with standard errors in the hundredths of a percent like Wateff's results no matter how old over a statistic from 32 individuals with a standard error of probably 10%+.

This is close to some Central Europeans groups such as Austrians. Are Bulgarians as equal light eyed as Austrians? Obviously they aren't.

Bulgarians have 15% less light eyes than even Ashkenazi Jews in Cisleithanian Austria-Hungary.

Bulgarians are not as light eyed as Austrians and by a good margin at that.

Well if those dark eyes are light to you then we just have a different definition of light eyes.

If to you light eyes = pure blue only (no green and grey) I can say the percentage is much lower.

1 out of those 22 players is blue eyed, 2 are gray eyed. I think this ratio is close to the truth.

Thats almost 30% more than Bulgarian schoolchildren. Everywhere in Cisleithania (even Dalmatia) was found to be predominately light eyed, yet Bulgarians are majority dark eyed by a margin about 10%.

What you say is true. Brown and hazel eyes prevail over light and light-mixed nuances by a margin of about 10%.
