The Jews are God's chosen people because they are who HE revealed Himself too in the Bible. They are still God's people because the first Christians were Jews- and the Jews today still have a chance to accept Jesus Christ as the Messiah.

In the Bible it is written that Israel is the people of God.
Also, if someone curses Isreal, he will be cursed.
Unfortunately, Israel has degenerated in a beastly manner, which in the eyes of God would punish that place like Sodom and Gomorrah.
It is a shame for the country where Jesus Christ and Christianity were born.

Many christians do believe though that the Church is the new Israel or the new covenant of god not through circumisation and the law but through faith and the believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. They believe jews lost their title because they murdered Jesus Christ and they are cursed.

What you are saying is unscriptural. Jesus called them children of the devil... how can God's people be children of the devil?

This is not in the Bible. Please quote the scripture for me. I think what you are referring to was for one specific person, not all Jews... that is a gross misinterpretation, and you can guess who by and for what purpose...

The Bible says Christians are the people of God. Read your Bible mate -- ALL of it. Not just certain bits in the Old Testament.

Is this not a contradiction? Jesus was the son of GOD and his mother was a Jew.

No, it's not a contradiction. Read the Bible and you'll understand. It's not about someone's blood line, physical heritage... it never has been about that. Even in Old Testament times, people who were not ancestrally Jews could join the nation if they submitted to God. It has never been by blood... but rather by obedience to God. And Jesus totally confirmed that with his preaching. And by the way, in Jesus' physical ancestry line there were also non-Jews/non-Israelites.

Despite ultra orthodox Jews and other very conservative folks in Israel, it seems that Israel is a very tolerant and democratic country. I like Israel.
