In Vietnam, however, the brands have failed to take off. McDonald's and Burger King have more than 36,000 and 16,000 locations across the globe, respectively. But in Vietnam, McDonald's has 17 stores and Burger King has 13. In Vietnam, a country spoiled for choice when it comes to food, some U.S. fast food chains are struggling to compete with the local competition.

I have the same when I am in the Philippines. Who needs McDonalds ? The price is first world but the quality is shite. I have a trillion other options.

1 Euro is around PHP 58. Tell me again why I should go to McDonalds ? Ooh btw: and then I'm splurging. I can get a good bite in every possible street stall for less than 30. A carenderia would be mid-range and I eat there all the time when I'm there.
