I have the guy second on the rights instagram, thought he looked quite peculiar. I don't really know what Greek cyrpriots look like tbh, good looking people though.

Greek Cypriots phenotypically overlap much more with their Islander brethren and Anatolian Greeks than to Levantoids.

It's not the lighting per se but the features. Most of the Cypriot footballers pass among Greeks and Anatolians and look strikingly different than your average Levantoid. The men in the OP look Jewish or Lebanese.

Cypriots are exceptionally distant from mainland Greeks; i.e. genetically much closer to Lebanese than even Cretans. As a result their phenotype is much closer to the Levant and Caucasus than Greek Islanders-Cretans-mainland Greeks. Mainland Greeks are much closer to Balkan groups (for better or worse).
