most white americans have little to no southern european. They are mostly a mix of british (both english and the celtic nations), german, dutch, and french (mostly northern from the Huguenots). Some in the midwest have Polish and Scandinavian as well, and New Yorkers (mostly from the urban area) and New Jersey(ites?) have a large amount of Italian and Jewish, but those are basically the only real exceptions
