    Post Stoicism

What does Stoicism mean to you all? I personally have been lightly studying Stoicism lately and most people have a very flawed view of it imo. I'm personally curious of your guys opinion.

It's self control through accepting both positive and negative "vibrations" around you.

Generally Wise people are naturally Stoic for they don't argue with people who are evil etc..

Stoicism can be Atheistic and Religious inspired.

Stoicism belongs to philosophy and religious philosophy.

I'll share this lecture (that most of you probably already know, but it worth the time for those who don't know it yet):

well, I've been in contact with this philosophy years now, and for me is a precious tool to make me better as a person when I excercise their teachings... about those people who thinks wrong of stoicism, well only those who don't know what stoicism is are those lazy enough to never actually read something from a stoic phillosopher. So we shouldn't care if they think to be a stoic is "to be insipid without emotions" or something similar, without even mention those others who don't have a clue about what they are talking about and still uses the term stoic to name stuff... I even came across a video once that was something like "how to be stoic like Conor McGregor".
So stick to the basics (the real authors), ignore the fools and you should be fine.
