I call it the stockholm syndrome. It peaks in modern Italy, Serbia, Croatia, Albania, Poland,Greece. The Germans had their way so much with them that today they celebrate anything Germanic.
I1 is unrelated to this syndrome, but is currently used to venerate the master.

Have you ever heard for Kulize? They are large gruop of Serbian familes from southwestern Serbia, Kopaonik area and norteastern Montenegro who allegedly originated from medieval Saxon miners. According to some historians they are mix of Saxons, Serbs and Albanians and Kulize means mixed people, it derivated from one Latin word. For some familes who belong to Kulize is written in literature from the past they are serbified Kulize. Kulize celebeate Mratindan and Saint Mina, both slavas plus Miholjdan are typical for familes who once were Catholics and converted to Orthodoxy. Mratindan is actually Serbian version of Saint Martin.
