It is about a Gypsy woman who wants to find a Gypsy husband but she can not, so she asks the Moon to do it. The Moon accepts but demands their first son to not be alone.

When she gives birth, they check the son is white and with grey eyes instead of olive, and the Gypsy husband claims the child is the son of a payo (non-Gypsy) and then absolutely furious, kills her with a knife. Then takes the child and leaves him in the mount.

It is a truly spectacular song and story
