I always thought Northern Europe was more obese than the South, but apparently not.

Eastern european (I'm thinking of the former USSR in particular) males are generally very fit until the age of 30-35 and then a grotesque metamorphosis happens. Most serve in the army, many practice combat sports and/or gymnastics.

No suprise Greeks are fat because of such tasty food, Italy too. British women are notably fatter than the men here, that seems true to me .

Many Danes grow a beer gut around the same time, along with an unfortunate propensity for latex clothing. Women just cut their hair short.
