Do you get mistaken for other ethnicities/race?

I still think that if I would see you in the street anywhere in US or in Europe I would think you are french of of french ancestry.

I still consider most of my ancestry to be French since my paper trail is mostly Cajun-french

When I used to live in Poland I was mostly mistaken as Spanish and Italian, people would usually forget to guess Portuguese.

In Portugal and Angola I was never mistaken for anything else but Portuguese.

What would they assume in my case? Would I be standard White American, or not?

I’ve seen a couple of your photos and most would just assume you’re white. Some of us are very interested in culture and others not so much. To be considered anything else you’d have to have very southern features.

If you have that stereotypical Midwest Germanic look to you than it's quite understandable. Aren't people from New York very often of Jewish & Italian origin and having some of the darkest white population of US?

NYC is very mixed with a large Anglo-Irish population as well.

Yep. I neither look very Mediterranean nor any pseudo-Latino look is present in my case.

I’ve had someone accuse me of not being European lol.

I get told I look all sorts of things from Southern European to Levantine, Indian and even Latina which I don’t mind at all I think it’s cool. But to go as far as claiming me to be lying about my actual ethnicity is rather irritating.

Yes it is. But apparently 1/3 of people have some Ashkenazi Jewish origin, in some districts up to 1/2 iirc.

Irish and Southern France can makes sense. Those regions can produce gracile meds proper. Hence, you are french and Irish then.
