The thing is plenty of men such as Wyclef Jean, P Diddy and Mase easily switch from one genre to the other.

R&B is non existent at this point it’s all turned to mainstream garbage. Khalid is probably the only decent “r&b” artist I’ve heard lately.

Todays mainstream music is just one synthesized genere mixing pop, rap and rnb. In the 2000s, not mentioning the 90s, there were various kind of music in radio and tv and many divisions among guys.I mostly remember skaters(rap mainly) vs metalheads. Clubbers were the third group. Today it is gone. I would like to ask where is rock music in the mainstream media. Boomer mode on

Rnb ain't dead. It rather fused with rap music into one genre. But there are also more classical rnb artists.
