My friend works in Munchen (BMW) with that college certificate now.

So tell me... where do you spend your Student Loans... it's ridiculous.
Students have easy access to federal government backed loans. If the "loan" program went away Tuition costs would drop like a rock, and non essential universities would close down. Going to a good state university was cheap back in the day. Then universities gradually increased tuition costs, then some more, then some more and students kept enrolling but paying with loans. There other big scam is called out of state tuition and foreign students. They pay out of rear end, more expensive. We also have a bunch of small, what we call, liberal arts colleges. They are expensive as phuck. We have way too many students at universities, paying a fortune, with junk majors. You can also save a lot of money by attending a community college that feeds into the State U. 2 years at each, or do 4 years at a branch campus of State U.

The way things are going, its projected some 50 percent of higher learning institutions will close in the next 20-50 years.
I was browsing on some American university sites (can't remember which). I saw there that the cost of ONE semester subject is more expensive than my entire degree. It's scary what America charges for education.

Especially the small private schools. I understand Ivy Leagues, and privates like MIT or Stanford, those degrees open doors. In my state the best universities are Cincinnati $11,000, Ohio State $10,700, and Miami U $14,700. All public state universities. There are private schools that charge $40,000 to $50,000.

His medical plan is of government, increases the price with age?

Here the system of private health plan, works as mini-banks/insurers is not feasible for people over 50 (but has a free system and the private medical system is not yet overpriced)

No. The government basically only allows the price to rise with inflation.

Wake up and smell the coffee.

In Brazil, the government also facilitated credit, but this has increased the number of universities (some of low quality). There is no demand for so many graduates in some regions.
In the homes system we had extended financing, in this case we had overprice or boom real estate.

Because a big chunk of the 'healthcare spending' in the US is on administration and marketing, due to the fact that the competing insurance companies have to be promoted to the public.

^^^ well that and there is no collective bargaining power, the cards are stacked in the providers hands rather then the consumer/insurer. You need healthcare and can't really just walk away from the service so they can charge what they want, and an insurer can fail to cover a necessary treatment if they don't accept a high price. Government owned healthcare can say to providers charge
