Default Hungarians desecrate Romanian graves of fallen heroes

    (google translated text)

The crosses of Romanian heroes in Valea Uzului cemetery, covered with garbage bags.

The crosses of dozens of Romanian heroes placed by Dărmăneşti townhall in the International Valea Uzului Heroes Cemetery were profaned, according to the photos posted by a Hungarian initiative group on the Erdely.ma site. A Hungarian article posted on the website quoted and signed by a "group of anonymous activists" claims that the activists covered the crosses of the Romanian heroes, which were categorized as "illegally located".

The pictures posted by the Hungarian civic group show that the crosses were covered with black sacks of adhesive tape glued together.

Cemetery of Valea Uzului heroes is a subject of dispute between UDMR and local authorities. The reason is that the Dărmăneşti Town Hall has arranged a part of the cemetery to place crosses of Romanian heroes near the crosses of Hungarian, but also Italian and Russian heroes, although the town hall of Sânmartin commune in Harghita claims that the cemetery is located on its territory.

UDMR protested against the intent of local authorities and urged the Dăncilă government to halt the inauguration ceremony that should have taken place today, May 17.

    Finally, today's ceremony was postponed.

Valea Uzului Cemetery is located at the border between Harghita and Bacău counties.

Dărmăneşti City Hall, Bacău County, postponed the ceremony of inauguration of the plot of the Romanian heroes buried in the Valea Uzului International Cemetery, for which UDMR asked for the intervention of Premier Dăncilă, the city's mayor arguing that he does not want the event to take place in the electoral campaign, according to Ziarul de Bacau .

In addition, the Ministry of Culture sent to the Dărmăneşti Town Hall an official notice that the project for rehabilitation of the Ioseo Valley Cemeteries International Cemetery did not receive the opinion of the Committee for Public Monuments. Therefore, the Dărmăneşti Town Hall did not have the legal possibility to inaugurate the Romanian heroes parcel.

Also, the Regional Inspectorate for North-East Constructions sent an address to the Bacau Prefecture, which warned that the construction permit signed by the Mayor of Dărmăneşti regarding the construction of a monument in the Valea Uzului International Cemetery and 50 crosses for Romanian heroes was issued "in violation of the provisions of the legislation in force", says Ziarul de Bacau.

The action of Hungarian militants takes place on the background of the information that UDMR is in danger of not making the necessary threshold of 5% of the total votes in the European Parliament elections, the party led by Kelemen Hunor needing massive mobilization of potential voters to get rid of emotions.
