    @Peterski

This is the correct demographics, in Mexico we have

    Northern
Western-Central (sometimes known as El Bajio)
    Central Mexico
    Southern Mexico

No one uses Northern, Central and Southern Mexico in the nation at all

I corrected it for you, there are two states missing, which would be Nayarit and Aguascalientes, both states that belong in Western-Central Mexico

    Western-Central Mexico - 2,403,990 inhabitants:

    Michoacan - 491,679
    Colima territory - 68,243
    Jalisco - 774,461
    Guanajuato - 713,583
    Zacatecas - 356,024

    Racial average = Harnizo

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------

    Central Mexico - 2,386,149 inhabitants:

    Puebla - 580,000
    Tlaxcala territory - 80,171
    Federal District - 200,000
    Mexico - 973,697
    Queretaro - 184,161
    San Luis Potosi - 368,120

    Racial average = Balance mestizo

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------

    Southern Mexico - 1,948,352 inhabitants:

    Yucatan - 680,948
    Tabasco - 63,508
    Chiapas - 144,070
    Veracruz - 264,725
    Oaxaca - 525,101
    Guerrero - 270,000

    Racial average = Indo-mestizo

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------

    Northern Mexico - 928,057 inhabitants:

    Tamaulipas - 100,064
    Nuevo Leon - 133,361
    Coahuila - 75,340
    Durango - 162,218
    Sinaloa - 160,000
    Chihuahua - 147,600
    Sonora - 139,474
    Baja California - 10,000

    Racial average = Harnizo

That seems like a more precise classification, although i have always tought that San Luis Potosí looks more like northern Mexico and Veracruz more like central rather than southern.

people in San Luis Potosi are Central Mexicans, and physically are balance mestizos (RMuller has family from there and he has said they are majority balance mestizos), culturally I think they are divided in 3 ways, the ones closer to Veracruz would be more similar to Veracruzanos, in fact there were even Italian settlers that settled in San Luis Potosi who came from Veracruz (I even match with 3 of them on 23andMe), the ones closer to Northern Mexico more culturally similar to them and the rest culturally similar to Central Mexico

Veracruz has always been considered Southern Mexico, although to outsiders, they tend to think its a Central Mexican state but culturally speaking, it has nothing to do with Central Mexico, that is like comparing Cartagena to Medellin in terms of culture

another one would be Zacatecas, some consider it Northern Mexico while others Western-Central, to me and to most Mexicans they are Western-Central because they are more similar to the Bajio part of the country, they are also culturally and genetically similar to those from Jalisco, there was back migration from both states, and it is not rare to find Jalisco ancestors in a Zacatecano and vice versa. Zacatecas is never considered part of Northern Mexico, not even by Northern Mexicans.

the common mistake is also Puebla which a lot tend to classify it as Southern Mexico when in reality it is part of Central Mexico even culturally speaking, they have nothing to do with Southern Mexico at all
but in the USA, most of us classify that state as Southern Mexico

Western mexicans and central-northern mexicans (San Luis, Zacatecas) are less white than native northern mexicans not children of inmigrants. Despite los Altos de Jalisco inmigrants. This is specially notorious in Monterrey-Nuevo León.

Still in north there were pred amerindian regions like Sierra Tarahumara. And also the whitest region un all the country, the menonite colonies of central Chihuahua.

Anyway most ir not all the population in frontier cities (Tijuana, Mexicali, Ciudad Juárez) and Baja California Sur are inmigrants.

None of what your wrote is accurate, I have many results of those from Zacatecas and they have come out pred Euro-mestizo
this is why a sudaca man like you who has never been to Mexico needs to be quiet

Zacatecas is divided in to two main regions
your homework is to find out that division since its surprising to see someone who has been to Mexico and thinks he knows cant figure that out LOL

central-northern mexicans (San Luis, Zacatecas) are not considered Central-North, no such thing as that region

Agree on everything you said except the central region of San Luis Potosi is considered part of "El Bajio". Culturally it's closer to the "bajio regions" than to Central Mexicans states like Hidalgo,Puebla,DF,Estado De Mexico.

El bajío mexicano lo conforman los estados de:

    Aguascalientes
    Guanajuato
    Michoacán
    Querétaro
San Luis Potosí (sólo Región Centro)
Jalisco (sólo Altos de Jalisco )

    https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Regi%C...del_Baj%C3%ADo

Region centro OF San Luis Potosi is what is considered part of El Bajio Region . The capital of San Luis Potosi is part of Region Centro SLP.

SLP is hard to classify regionally. Northern Atplano is more Northern Mexico. Region Centro is more west-central Mexico culturally.
Huasteca region is more tropical and closer to Veracruz than to Western Mexico states.
