The only reason Romania had no issues with Serbia is because Serbia was busy fighting other nations.

Because after last Roman governor of Belgrade Theophilos Erotikos (who promoted Latin and Greek langauges) was deposed by Stefan Vojislav in 1000 A.D., all future rulers enforced
Slavic and terrorized Latin speakers, removed them from cities etc..

My ancestors are Predojević Vlachs from Dalmatia, it may be that 1000+ years ago we spoke Latin, but that's not important anymore.

Romanians also had mix of Latin and Slavic, but they decided to continue with Latin instead of Slavic. It's a Political decision.

There was very few Greeks in Kosovo.
