The 10 films in the "Star Wars" franchise have grossed more than $4.5 billion domestically since 1977. Outside the U.S., it's garnered more than $4.6 billion. But there is one place that "Star Wars" hasn't had the same success — China.

So during the first 3 movies China had a total ban on American movies and TV. Then they had a quota system. Makes sense.

I've recently watched The Wandering Earth, a 2019 Chinese science fiction film. According to Wikipedia it was huge box office success in China. It became China's second highest-grossing film of all time.
The Wandering Earth IMO is a piece of shit. A stereotypical, pompous, overdramatized and laughable movie.

But I've always thought that Star Wars is a childish movie. If you want to watch a good scifi movie I sugest you try A Space Odissey.
