I am proud of my heritage, but it must be said: southern Italians, and Sicilians, are peripherally European in terms of genetics and phenotype, overlapping more with the Levant and Cyprus than with 90% of Europe. This is something to be PROUD of, not harass someone over to the point where they cannot function on this site any longer. If you cannot handle the truth about this that it makes you need to bully someone, then that's something you need to evaluate. When more genetic studies come out it will simply corroborate what I have said.

I am finally taking control of my life and it will take a SERIOUS apology from a lot of you for me to stay. I gave up cigarettes after 9 years of smoking, I can give up this forum too if things do not seriously change around here.

I may be autistic, I may be annoying, but I am a HUMAN BEING with FEELINGS and I expect to be treated as such. There is no reason to be downright evil and cruel. It is "just the internet" but that does not mean it does not hurt.

European, is a GEOGRAPHICAL term.
Southern Italians and Sicilians are not less Europeans than the rest of the others. Not overlapping with a Scandinavian or AngloSaxon does NOT make the one ''standard'' European and the other an outlier.
The same goes for a Korean, with an Indian and a Tajik. They are ALL Asians , even thou they might not overlap.
Technically speaking, the S.Italians or Sicilians are more European than them, actually.

This is something to be PROUD of, not harass someone over to the point where they cannot function on this site any longer. No European is native. All your ancestry can be traced back to the middle East if we go back 3~5000 years. Gypsyes have been living in Europe for 1000 years TATARS, asiatic admixed groups been here for 10000 years such as Saamis, Chuvash, Mordvins. Most Sicilians, Greek Islanders have recent MENA input from less than 2000 years.

I specifically meaned Greeks and the likes. Obviously Finns and Scandinavians are far more European than peripheral populations with more ties to the Levant and Anatolia than to North Europeans
