I am 171cm (5ft 7in 1/2). just about 3cm taller than my wife. my dad is 177cm, even my female cousins are taller than me, maybe because I didn't like food and sleep when I was a teenager.

but Romanian girls are short too on average so it wasn't much of a problem for dating, then for one night stands some taller girls could pick you if they particularly like you in that moment, maybe because of your cool style, good jokes, mature stance, alcohol, whatever - I always see drunk Romanian girls going out with shorter Italian or Spanish Erasmus students but for a long term relationship I doubt taller girls would choose shorter men and I wouldn't date a taller girl either. the truth is short man-tall girl looks uncomfortable. my wife is taller than me with heels, but she never wears any.

I know how it is to be 171cm tall in some situations (like club when all girls are in high heels or wedding or such), I don't want to imagine how 168/165 boys feel :

but many of the newer generation tall guys are awfully narrow in shoulders breadth, I don't know how's that appealing to women. a broad-back 175cm man looks better than a narrow-back 182cm (6ft) imo

I think it really depends. The women in the OP are just either trolling or just really hate ONE specific short guy who broke her heart. Nonetheless they barely go above a 4 outta 10. It's always the ugly/average ones too lmao. I think most guys wouldn't wanna date a mammoth 5"10 women if they are 5 '5 or 5'7. If you are roughly the same height or taller than the girl it shouldn't be a problem.

Why those who were born in the late 90s and early 2000s are so tall is a mystery to me. And their parents can be quite low height. These GMO crops are fucking with the genetics. I'm the same height as you and it's quite typical for women in their 20s especially to be taller than me. A few decades back, women who were 6"2 would stand out like a sore thumb, now they are considered normal

I don't think people are getting taller, the studies show height peaked in the 1970's and remained unchanged. A lot of it had to due with control of childhood diseases (diarrhea namely) that stunt growth, not any nutritional deficiencies.

I think some of you are just noticing things better now than you did when you were younger. People aren't getting taller.

Tinder has made women more visually shallow than we are normally. I'm not saying women aren't shallow, but our shallowness was a little different than men's. We were shallow about status. But since tinder only allows for judgement on looks (and perhaps other things, but mostly looks), men deficient in certain areas cannot use their charm/status to compensate as they did before. If my husband were looking for a bride now, he would have a harder time because of his height. I worry for my son, TBH. I hope that he gets the tall genes from my mom's family. Unfortunately, both his grandparents on his father's side were on the short side (by today's standards).
