23andMe Average Results (Caribbeans, Mexico, CA and SA)

Caribbean 23andMe average

Cubans: They are majority "White Cubans" so these results are expected tbh
Jamaicans and Trinidad people: The South Asian is expected due to the East Indians that were imported there as slaves
Dominicans: They seem to be around 55% European + 38% African + 7% Amerindian, majority of the costumers on 23andMe come from El Cibao (70%)
Puerto Ricans: 12% of their ancestry is Amerindian, I do see they have a big white blank, not sure what that could indicate, other ancestries? North African?
Haiti: Despite being stereotyped as super black, they seem on average similar to African Americans








Mexico & Central America 23andMe average


Mexico: They also have a huge white blank (just like Puerto Ricans), the Amerindian seems to be around 30% and 2% SSA
Guatemala: They seem to be around 60% Amerindian, 4% SSA
Costa Rica: 60 European, 38% Amerindian and 2% SSA
Panama: They came out to be the most triracial Latino group







South America 23andMe average

Peru: 55% European + 38% Amerindian + 7% SSA
Colombia: That one surprised me, the average came out more SSA than Amerindian. ALso they seem to have a high white blank just like Mexicans and Puerto Ricans
the rest im not surprise, Venezuelans come from their upper class so their results could reflect the average upper class Venezuelan

I didn't do, it was actually 23andMe who has it on their blog, I am not sure if they have something similar to Latin America & Caribbean but I will check in see
I'm assuming that pretty soon they will have a major study based on their 23andMe costumers just like they did a while back

The White box in Puerto Rico and Venezuela is surely north african because were the most important spanish inmigrant group.

Also Haití shows any White admixture because probably exams were made by haitian elite (there's a 5% of mulattos in Haití, and something like a 0,3% of whites)

But usual Haitians are heavily black.

the Elites are not living in the USA, and majority of the elites are actually Arabs not mulattoes

In the case of Haiti it's interesting that 23andme consider the french cluster part of Northern-European spectrum, for that reason an important part of their Euro side is considered NE.
