Here is Eurogenes K36 and Dodecad V3 for my Mom. I can see that your aunt has a Southwest Asian component in Dodecad that my mother lacks, and Arabian and Armenian in K36 that my mother lacks as well. Otherwise they are pretty similar, at least from my quick look.

Pretty much accurate, I am mostly Norman and Saxon historically Orkney is Scand-Gael, I have a lot of continental German recently bred in and some Irish too. those are single populations but I can trace my ancestry on paper to to all of them. I am father Europe.

She got all German, British and Irish on AncestryDNA, with a trace of Swedish ancestry. I’m Sephardic on my mom’s side so I was really surprised my paternal aunt had Sephardic matches too, as well as high Arab scores on GEDMatch. Oh well...

I’m not one of those ‘Cherokee princess’ people but I definitely think based on what I’m seeing, she is ⅛ Sephardic.She, my dad and paternal grandpa are both fairly dark and resemble a lot of western Sephardim. Not sure exactly which great grandparent it was but I do know there were Sephardim who came to the colonies, especially Virginia, from Portugal, England and the Caribbean.

Based on your wild conjecture I concocted my very own wild hypothesis just for f*n: Supposing they impacted the area economically (which they did, look it up) and genetically (assimilation into future upper and upper-middle colonial American society is a given if you succeed at the former) although leaving less of a cultural footprint there than they did in Spanish- and Portuguese-speaking places still gives you a typical ethnolinguistic outcome, resembling the case of Turkic Bulgars in Europe c. 900 who despite being numerous dropped their customs and language for the dominant language of the area like Sephardim did, potentially, a trend Mestizo Americans replicate today.

To really drive this motherfucking home, let's also factor in how unlikely or uncommon it really was for Native Americans to genetically contribute to Southern society enough to materialize "them residual Injun traits" in an average Southerner.
