But Alnorte, the white Cubans and the blacks are almost the same culturally (except some black Cubans who still conserve some traditions of the Africans) but the majority of the Cuban blacks are assimilated,
In Cuba there was no segregation of races as there was in the United States, therefore black Cubans are more united to whites than in the case of the USA.

Personally, I don't really feel any affinity toward Northern and Eastern Europe and its peoples. However little the common ground between the average Cuban and I may be, it is higher than zero, so it's them. Although I don't blame Cubans for the war of independence, I cannot approve their political trajectory since then: first going full US bootlicker to later turn into a Soviet-backed communist regime.

Eh, that's not really true. There was a type of social segregation, akin to the northern half of the US.

*edit: heck, it still exists. Even today, most white Cubans are concentrated in their own provinces (about three). They don't live in Havana or the SW portion in Cuba in large numbers.

Hell, I'd pick Celia over the damn Beatles. They were overrated and fucking terrible! They might've wowed merry old England in '62 but they were inspired by American acts and sounded mediocre compared to both the Everly Brothers or Chuck Berry.

However, that segregation was not very durable, nor did it have a great impact like that of the United States. African Americans, despite the fact that segregation laws no longer exist, are still living in ghettos among themselves and many still feel resentment towards white Americans, something that almost does not happen with the Cuban blacks.

I argue that blacks still live in ghettos/ethnic enclaves in Cuba. They're just not called such because almost there is equally poor and no one there thinks in those terms. But if you look at it carefully, you'll notice it. People tend to live among themselves. There is nothing wrong with that.

The Spanish, for all their faults, were less snobby than the English in their treatment of slaves and Indians. There is a snobbery to NW Europeans that I don't believe they are aware of that can cause people to believe that they aren't liked. "They think they better than everyone else," (actual quote from black woman.)
That, and the lack of civil war and all of that, is why there is less racial resentment. You have to realize too that we have a minority group in the US that has a lot of influence and likes to stoke up anti-white sentiment among blacks. Cuba does not have that. In fact, you have the opposite. You have a largely white ruling class that has in its better interest to project racial solidarity with its largely black and mulatto population.
