Из России в Польшу: «Поляки и русские очень похожи»

I have been to Tricity for a few days and as someone with high curiosity for anthropological features I carefully observed the residents, and honestly they looked very Baltid, closer to people I have seen while being in Russia rather than to East-Central Europe (Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovenia), also pretty different from East Germans. Is that area known to be much different from other regions of Poland, or do Polish have similar looks everywhere else?
Also as a side-note, that was my "Whitest" experience of my life, haha, never seen so many pale-skinned people all around, with almost no diversity

I can distinguish spoken Polish from Ukrainian, and those I heard speaking were definitely Polish speakers. But maybe on the streets there were also Ukrainian passers. Still was surprised how different they mostly looked from Hungarians, even if Poland and Hungary are rather close, and Hungarians have plenty of early West Slavic ancestry.
