Question to non-English speakers: how'd you react if your government announced the following?

I'd like France (and other nations) to be able to preserve its own identity and to ensure the survival of its own ethnic group.

Well, those two things kind of go hand in hand.

I have nothing against hard working immigrants who come to France legally, abide by our laws and learn our language, and work hard to earn money and contribute to society.

I'd prefer if ethnic French people kept being the majority and speaking the French language. Just like I'd prefer that the Japanese kept being the majority and speaking the Japanese language in Japan, for example.

Because a lot of people in this forum say that they'd prefer to lose their language but keep whichever country in question majority White than lose their White majority but keep their language. (In other words, some types of globalisation are more acceptable than others to them).
