Turks without European admixture are not lighter than Greeks.

If you want to know what your day to day average Turk looks like based on TV programme , just watch the actors casted to play the Turkish nomadic tribes in Etrugrul and Osman .

I guess it is because same than Mexicans, Venezuelans and other non white countries, Turkish actors tend to be lighter than Turkish population, while that does not happen in any European country.

Greeks cherish their predominant Hellenic features. They are Mediterranean features, yet overwhelmingly Caucasian. They emphasize it on tv shows and on advertisements.

Turks on the other hand have a culture which promotes their European admixture. These Turks are the most beautiful looking Turks. And also, there are other elements in Turkey which clearly show Asiatic influence.. Typical Anatolian, Middle Eastern and even Turanic features are being suppressed on Turkish tv shows. Most countries starting from Turkey to India, as well as Latin America emphasize lighter Caucasoid features.

I don't care about your top 3 actors. Or top 10 for that matter. Some Turkish serials are full of European looking Turks. It deviates from the average Turk. On the other hand, I don' t notice this phenomenon in Greek serials. They are mostly Meds. As such, the person who created this thread was correct. The Turks may have been lighter than the Greeks in the serials. But who are we kidding? We know Turks are more Asiatic. Hell, forget Turks, take a look at Bollywood actors. They could all pass for Persians.

Thats i dont know the name but some kind of syndrome... Lets say "Greek syndrome" for now. This is people like you, think that Turks have an agenda and find the very few euro looking people amoung ape-like masses and showcase them in tv. For what? Probably our internet penis becomes longer when people see more euro-looking Turks in serials. Perhaps some european call and award us with a medal for pleasing them by looking like them.

The reality, that Greeks or other complexed people never want to accept, the Turks that you see in the serials are a reflection of the people. You dont want to accept this because you see Turks as Arabian looking people and that gives you a virtual superiority idea, which you dont want to lose.
