I think light featured Turks are quite popular in Turkey, hence why the majority of the actors and actresses look a certain way. Although that usually goes with countries South and west of Turkey too.

Our actors and actresses don’t have any pigmentation difference tbh if you compare with our people generally.

Turkish are mostly European and Semitic so they aren't as dark as real Turkic people, but Turks look generally more Arab imo, they look Lebanese or Druze a lot of the time.

The sad thing is the real Turkish history, the Hitites, Trojans, Galatians is lost because people simply don'y know who their ancestors were. Even the Adyghe and Caucasians, Balkanites; so much rich history simplified into an image that just isn't true.

Won't even comment this but name these 2 shows cause you sparked my curiosity(you can find them by googling channel's program yesterday)
Greece doesn't have strong productions&culture around shows ,low budget and don't export much while Turks have/do these and they are probably selective as to what people are hired/promoted as a marketing move to appeal to foreign audiences&keep the exports going.
