true! in Moldova region of Romania we call them шюкэлэй (șiucălăi) and yes, it's also an euphemism for "penis", as you are implying

We still have them in some small villages but many places in the countryside have indoor ones today. My village is not considered as little but my ancestors’ house there is very old, that’s why they have outhouse in their garden. I don’t use it when i visit my village because i am afraid/scared if i see some bugs there, i am strongly disgusted by them. The mosque is very close to my ancestors’ house so i go and pee on its toilet

In the past, 60-70 or years ago, it was common here to have the bathroom outdoor, in a cabin beside the house, or also in a kind of recess in a wall, closed by two shutters, like a closet or a cabinet; hence the Italian word for bathroom : gabinetto (cabinet), diminutive of the French "cabine" (cabin, hut).

I think it is elitist to think outhouses are backwards. As a westerner, I'm lazy too walk out to one in the dead of winter. It makes sense to a lot of ways it's just a matter of convenience.

my dad is almost 70 and still has the outhouse. I wanted to help him do a bath/toilet inside the house but he says he is ok like this, he likes it this way. the outhouse is in the back of the garden, some 20 metres away from the house

I think it makes sense if you are a hardy farmer but a problem if you are getting older. My grandparents grew up like that but came to the US in their mid 20s. Obviously less than than ideal for older people esp. in winter. God help you if you have a digestive problem.

this include Serbia and other ex Yugoslav countries.

In Serbia and other ex Yugoslav countries this percent is around 3% that is much smaller than eg. Romania 30% and even Bulgaria, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia around 15-20%.

Most of countryside households in Serbia still have these outside toilets or at least a place where it used to be but they are not in use anymore because it is usual that houses have indoor toilet/bathroom.
Most of houses in Serbia and ex Yugoslavia built indoor toilets and bathrooms in 1970s and 1980s so today probably only old people who still live in rural places and in not really good conditions don't have it.

Obviously during communist times Yugoslavia had much better conditions compared with eg. Romania and Bulgaria and this advantage is from those times.
I'm surprised Latvia and Lithuania are that high. They seem more developed and have a Nordic mindset, even looking at their villages on google maps they seem to have much cleaner streets than the fence/communication cable clusterfuck of Russia/Balkans.

Me too, but after my early 10s, there was an in-house option as well.
