That sucks man. I use a relatively cheap phone it was about $75 from Amazon.

The phone they took only cost 50 USD back when the Real was stronger. I didn't lose much money. I always keep my expensive things at home when walking in the streets of Brazil. It's still important to have 20-30 USD in cash though. Some robbers kill their victims in cold blood there for not having any money or not having "enough" for the bastards.

That is messed up. Brazilians should all be allowed to carry a pistol, and arm themselves at home with pistols and rifles, legally.
