K pop is VERY popular among gen Z around the world.
I don't like pop music... anyhow, funny how some people try to argue that "hey dude, people who listen to something in a language they don't speak are stupid lolz"... well, you can see the lyrics in the internet if you want to, and if you like the music you can get inspired to learn a new language (at least the basics), gosh, some people sounds so lazy and self-centered about life.
But yes, if SK keep up like that, they will be a large center of cultural influence in the next genarations.

P.S. About the fact that most of us simply cannot understand why many people like K-POP is because of generation differences, you couldn't expect, for instance, the parents of the first "rock'n'roll gen. understanding their children as well... some things in life we just need to accept as they are, without overthinking them.

Totally bullshit. I hate this K-pop style music, where all the boys look like gays and sing higher than females. Only teenagers would listen such a stupid music.

Out of their own choice.... nobody forced them to as they could listen to bands and singers and musicians from their own countries instead.

If someone has an outstanding singing voice, is completely unique to other singers, or is an exceptional artist with mind-blowing lyrics, has eargasmic and breathtaking musicians and a variety of sounds in their music... then I'll listen to it in other languages... but it has to be of an exceptionally high quality of musical sounds and vocalists and arrangements.

There's some incredibly artistic and breathtaking folk music and a huge variety of rock and gothic and symphonic and metal music genres that I culturally relate well to and love from singers, musicians, and artists... with lyrics that's sung in Irish and other Celtic languages, Norwegian, Italian, French and German. I also like some darkwave and neoclassical music from an Austrian band which is sung in ancient Latin (below.) I also love a Finnish gothic band that sings in both English and Finnish.

This beautiful and atmospheric song is sung totally in Irish and reached no.1 on the UK song charts at the time of its release.

This gothic metal band sings songs in both English and Italian.

    An atmospherc Norwegian cultural work-of-art.

Beautiful Native American song which translates as:

'May the stars carry your sadness away,
May the flowers fill your heart with beauty,
May hope forever wipe away your tears.
And, above all, may the silence make you strong!'

I can't stand most of the pop music genre in the English language either.... some pop singers are ok to listen to occasionally, but much of that music genre is mediocre.

I wonder if Korean K-poppers also appreciate listening to a variety of different music genres and atmospheric vocalists and talented and artistic musicians in Norwegian, French, Italian, Icelandic, German, Irish, Celtic languages, ancient Latin, Finnish, Caribbean Islander music, Native American music, etc.

Adrian von Ziegler is a modern-day Swiss composer and I appreciate listening to his artistic compositions;-

Classical and instrumental and atmospheric music without lyrics can be universally and emotionally understood by everyone.

No, that's vulgar Latin. Well, at least they don't butcher the "o" vowel like native English speakers.
