Sweden is going to ban runes and pagan symbols

I agree Orbán is better than Merkel and others, but trust me the Orbán system is very far right authoritarian. 80% of media, newspapers are controlled by Fidesz (Orbán's party) and many opposition media has been banned by Fidesz. The government has mafia relationships too, for example once an opposition politician wanted to make an anti corruption law (because Fidesz is very corrupt) and he was beaten by bald muscular criminals, Gábor Kubatov's peoples who is a fidesz oligarch. The "Bayer show" is a political show in the Echo TV (the TV of Fidesz), the presenter Zsolt Bayer (the hungarian Goebbels) used to say such things like "we must break their (he mean liberals, opposition politicians) bones" or "we must dragged them across the floor on their blood" etc etc and this is all in official national TV channel.
So basically Orbán's foreign policy is a good thing and i agree with it just like 90% of hungarians, but trust me his internal policy is horrible.

It is necessary in a way... because otherwise you'll end up like some areas in the UK, France or Germany... invaded and occupied by a foreign culture that hates you. You can't have it both ways, you're just going to have to tolerate the bits you don't like, because overall you are better off. Really. The grass always looks greener on the other side... but it isn't. There is no great freedom here in the West anymore, it's a myth.

Wow what morons, these symbols are sacred. Got plenty of Germanic/Slavic runes and symbols (non-abused) tatted on myself, doesn't make me a fucking racist.

Swedish schools to erase ancient history from history class

No more Plato or Aristotle. No Rome, no more teaching of Swedish Great Power era in Swedish upper grade history classes. This is the new move from the Swedish Board of Education, which wants Swedish pupils to focus on Hitler, World War 2 and the following postmodern era in the late 20^th century instead.
Recent days, the Swedish debate has focused on the social democratic next move to make the Swedish people less historically aware. Due to lack of lesson time, the Board of Education now suggests that the History subject must be radically changed. Gender issues, climate and migration are of course included elements in the new suggested revised course plans of social sciences, which includes history.
At the upper grades 7-9, where pupils are 13-15 years old, there will no longer be any history taught dated older than the year 1700. All studying of the democratic cradle in ancient Greece, Rome, or The Swedish Great Power era (1611-1718) when Sweden ruled the countries surrounding the Baltic Sea, will be erased from history class.

”It’s horrible, bizarre and absurd, Dick Harrison professor of History and author outbursted when the suggestion was presented to the public previously this week.
“As a historian, who knows some about this, I am forced to react. Only the idea that the Ancients are unimportant to understand the present is bizarre and absurd.
Everything that surrounds us is a legacy from the ancient Greeks, he claimed and said that if the suggestion becomes reality, ”Swedes will be embarrassed worldwide”.
“Excuse me, but it’s so f*** sick, I find it hard to believe it. Naturally, I expect the suggestion to be withdrawn, the upset professor said.
More postmodernism
The revised course plans are the result of lack of history lesson time in Swedish schools, the School Board claims. Pupils in the upper grades must focus more on the 19^th century, with particular focus on the Holocaust, the cold war and the ideas that have formed Sweden during the post war era. This includes raising awareness about gender issues, migration and rasism. There will however, be time enough to cover Western slavery and colonialism during the 18^th century and onwards.
However, the 100 million dead from communism in the 20^th century, are not mentioned as an important subject to study in the revised course plans. Neither are Mao’s and China’s demolition of books during the Culture war.

After intense protests: Ancient history not removed from Swedish history classes

Last week, Voice of Europe could report that The Swedish Board of Education, Skolverket, planned to erase history elements older than the year 1700 from Swedish history classes. Now, after intense criticism, the Board withdrawals its plans.
“The Board of Education can observe that there is a lack of support for our suggestion and therefore, we can already now before the inquiry time has expired, establish that the Antiques will remain in the elementary school’s course plan for history, the authority states in a press release.
Last week, there were wild protests in the country against the Board’s suggestion to erase ancient history, not at least within academia, where Dick Harrison, Professor in History, called the intended plan of history removal “an intellectual suicide and f*** sick”.
The planned revised course plans from Skolverket would have erased Ancient Greece, The Swedish Great Power era in the 17^th century, Rome, the dark ages and other culture-shaping phases of Europe’s past from Swedish teaching in upper grades.
Instead the idea was to focus more on the post-war era in the 20^th century, including the rise of postmodernism. It took the Board less than five days to change its view after a massive social media storm.
However, the destiny of teachings about the Swedish Great Power era, when Sweden ruled the countries surrounding the Baltic Sea, is yet to be decided.
