Brazilians of fully Spanish ancestry (yes, they still exist), like Andrés Sanchez and Raul Gil, look no diferent from colonial (or half colonial/recent Portuguese) white Brazilians, and their phenotypes are, like you said, perceived as local, not European. It's interesting that Bahia, for example, also received post-colonial Galicians immigrants, it wasn't just the southeast that received immigration from Spain.

The most catalonian surname I have seen in a brazilian would be an actress named María Casadevall. Casadevall is a surname that you easily recognize it as catalonian. But María Casadevall have exotic phenotype to be a catalonian ( I see in her asian or japanese features).

Catalonian didnt go in importan numbers to America during colonial era because they werent castilians, and I dont think that they emigrated in big numbers to America during XX century. I would say that even nowadays it is not very common to find catalonians outside Catalonia

The spanish brazilians are an anthropologic mith, nobody knows what fuck happened to them, despite their big numbers. But I found them on Netflix!

But they already immigrated to our country and their phenotypes have become synonymous with Brazilian looking a long time ago, a good example of their big impact here on a genetic/cultural/phenotypical level.
Yes, their colonization wasn't perfect, but we should not forget that it's thanks to former Iberians colonies that many non-Iberians Euros had a place to immigrate in order to start their lives over again and kill their hunger.
