The girl is a genius because she was born a genius. She won out in the genetic lottery. I wouldn't be surprised if her parents were exceptionally bright themselves since intelligence is highly heritable. It has nothing to do with living with challenges. If that was the case Eastern European immigrants - as well as immigrants from other places where life is difficult- to the West would be dominating the education system of those nations and that certainly isn't the case.

It's not difficult to explain when you take into account it's not the average Indian who immigrates to the US. It's a selected well educated minorty. Every population has a well educated minority regardless of how low the national IQ of that nation may be and there is an incentive for them to leave for a better life elsewhere. African immigrants in the US do very well for themselves. That doesn't mean the average Nigerian would do as well.

Well, I have looked statistics in the Pew Research about studies and income, and the african inmigrants perform worse than the native yet-established white groups (germans, english, irish...).

It is known. Too add to that, it's the resourceful ones who can even negotiate a deal with the embassy to arrive in the U.S., it's like a sifting process that weeds out the incapable. What you have left is the extremely capable.
