Do you believe in afterlife?

After death do you think there's a remain of consciousness but different from earthly life or our senses remain the same only without physical body?
Will we completely black out and lose everything with death or something remain for us to sense other than our corpse?

No, there is no evidence for an afterlife so I cannot believe in it. I would assume that after I die, I would have a similar feeling to how I felt before I was born. I wish it did exist though, death seems like it would be very boring.

I am agnostic and a stoic, so above all I think it is irrelevant to human existence.
However, for the pure sake of intellectual masturbation, I would rather tend to reincarnation and some sort of eternal recurrence cycle occurring.

There are a number of things which need to be taken into consideration.

Our body and soul are connected in the here and now. If a person becomes too mentally distressed, the body shuts the brain off in a variety of different ways. The body is almost like a fail-safe mechanism. There is only so much the brain can take before a number of psychological and physiological processes kick in to protect the mind.

In the case of a hell, the person is not going there with a body - only with an intellect. There is no physical fail-safe mechanism in a place like hell. Which is what makes Hell hell.
