Spain is separated from Morocco by only 7.7 nautical miles.
Many Spaniards can pass easily in multiple North African nations.
I will post pictures of a few examples.

Anne Hidalgo, the Mayor of Paris France.
    Born in San Fernando, Spain.

Spanish actor, Javier Ángel Encinas Bardem.
Bardem was born in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, in the Canary Islands, Spain.

    Spanish actress, Maribel Verdú.
    Born in in Madrid, Spain.

    Alejandro Angulo León, Spanish actor.
Born on April 12, 1953 in Erandio, Vizcaya, País Vasco, Spain

That's true but I guess their contribution to the Levantine gene pool has been very low.

Sorry to contradict you, Cristiano Viejo, but Maribel Verdu wouldn't be very exotic in Morocco, although she doesn't have the "typical Moroccan look"...

I said most Berbers wouldn't easily overlap with Europeans, but a non negligible part of them would do.
The fact is also that most Berbers have Mediterranean features. Although the majority doesn't exactly overlap with Southern Europeans, they can have a remote air of family with them.

Have a look at these Berbers ladies and girls from the Atlas mountains and be impartial : https://imgur.com/a/zuu5P

The one on the seventh picture has a remote air of family with Maribel Verdu.
To me, the one on the fifth picture would look totally Portuguese if she weren't wearing that typical dress.

I have never said the contrary. I just told you she wouldn't be very exotic in Morocco. The little girl on the seventh picture isn't very different from Maribel Verdu but you didn't open the link maybe...

The first one looks like me.
I'd say that Berbers have better overlap with Levantines and Egyptians than to Southern Europeans, but yes, that doesn't mean that there aren't some Spaniards couldn't pass in the MENA world and vice versa.

I entirely agree with you, although Berbers have a strong singularity. We shouldn't forget that Early Neolithic people from Morocco (about 7000 years ago) shared important genetic affinities with Neolithic Levantines and Natufians, implying ancient common origins. Late Neolithic Moroccans (about 5000 years ago), in turn, have that same component plus European / Iberian adstratum. Not to forget the African/subsaharian influence. You can find more details in the study "Neolithization of North Africa involved the migration of people from both the Levant and Europe".

I had read the genetic study on that in the past, yes.
