In Greece... With no help from any Greeks, the police or anybody else. The killing was totally unjustified and it only shows how dangerous Greece is for tourists, especially us of a darker complexion.

I guess that only proves my point that Greece is dangerous for Americans. But considering how rare it is for African Americans to travel to Greece, and still one of them gets beaten to death for no reason, I would say it is sensible for us to take more caution before choosing as our next vacation spot that area of the world.

The country isn't dangerous for any kind of tourist... the exact opposite...
If a Greek learns you are a tourist you will see a smile from his face and an immidiate interest.
I don't know how many years have passed since the last similar event.
It happened in Crete and the island was so ashamed of it... it is one of the most hospitable places on earth.
