Yes and most of them are also very rude and anti social.
My first encounter with a Turkish gypsy family was very depressing. I didnt know what a gypsy was back then so I was very neutral and I approached them to ask something, but I was basically told to fuck off. I didnt understand why they were so angry and disrespectful. My parents then told me to stay away from those people.
Now I see them in Istanbul. I do respect the ones who sell flowers but I dont know about the others who walk around carelessly thinking they can do whatever they want. But in general we dont mind them. They are not a relevant topic in Turkey. Noboby talks about them and we love it when we see them on TV shows. A very popular tv show was based off the Turkish gypsy family lifestyle and drama.
