Why are American Turks so different from other Turks?

It seems like even our recent immigrants are better than those in Germany and other countries. Is it because of American law and order or is it a different class of Turks that emigrate to America?

The same can be said for many people like Arabs, Pakistani's. Most foreigners I meet here are really great people who work hard and are very enlightened. Surprisingly the Armenians are probably one of the Euro-Middle Eastern Groups besides Russians and Italians that have any substantial amount of criminals (Armenian Power Street Gang), but even Armenians are largely great citizens who assimilate.

Yea I think it's because our legal immigration route is so hard it weeds out most the poor people from Europe and the Middle East.

Not all diapsora groups are the same, despite coming from the same country.

It's true for pretty much all ethnicities, in Australia the Lebanese are not highly regarded, there has been a lot of ethnic tensions between Lebanese Christians/Muslims and the rest of the Australian community. In the US the complete opposite seems true, Lebanese immigrants seem to be well liked and assimilated.
