Egon Freiherr von Eickstedt, Rassen und Rassengeschichte der Menschheit.

This book was changed and expanded in the huge work "Forschung am Menschen", but in this later work, some of the old parts were eliminated or shortened, while the huge 3rd book of this edition is, honestly, no big win.

Secondly Egon Freiherr von Eickstedt, Rassendynamik von Ostasien. China und Japan, Thai und Kmer von der Urzeit bis heute.

In many respects still standard. The first general work is in certain respects more outdates, the second is more specific for the Asian racial studies and in certain respects still unbeatable, because nothing better was ever written from the viewpoint of racial typology.

Basically, Egon Freiherr von Eickstedt is just THE master of anthropology. Even his short book about his journey in South West Asia (Türken, Kurden und Iraner seit dem Altertum) is more valuable than what many others until now wrote about this region from the viewpoint of racial typology.

It is a really pity that he died too young, he would have corrected many things in his later, as he did for South West Asia in his excellent fashion, just after a short scientific journey and survey...

Unfortunately most of his work is only available in German and old books, often hard to get and rather expensive.
