This argument is not childish, do people learn from their parents, or do you think that a person does not learn from the cultural habits that your parents teach you?
Do you know why the Latin American Japanese are different from the rest of the average Latin Americans?

You see. When Spain was trying to emulate Paris in order to feel good about their fucked up selves during the 19th century, Argentina was copying the architecture and filling it with bank clerks, industrial corporations, railway planners etc. etc. etc. Spain was mostly a facade that everyone saw through.
Wake up and smell the coffee.

There are two things that saved your ass: American money in the 1950s and European from 1977 to today. Your only reasonably industrialised areas were funnily enough, around Barcelona and in the Basque Country. Of course you don't want to let them go: without them and without European money, you're fucked. You Castilians are like a giant fucking zit.
Wake up and smell the coffee.
