Talk about raining on my parade. To other Americans who have never really been over there, I sound convincing. But, to someone who really knows the dialect, I sound a bit like an ass.

I don't have a microphone unfortunately, so don't think I can get a clip of me talking unless I borrow someone else's. I think I speak like a typical Ontarian mostly, but since I've been in Newfoundland for the last four and a half years or so people back home say I've picked up some hints of the Newfie accent. Apparently, I over pronounce my r's now and some say my intonation has changed. Ontarian Newfie accent anyone?

Even though French is my first language I learned English when I was around 4 or so years old so French doesn't really leak into my English (although German is a different story. Most German teacher's I've had have told me I sound French when I speak German), but if it did then I'd have one hell of an accent

I don't have a microphone but I'm usually told that I have no accent.

I just noticed in mine the stuff going on in the background is messed up, about half way through you hear off of the t.v. noise a sound that sounds like a constipated retard going eeeerrrrrrrrrrrerer!
