Did Germans come from the East?

Well, they did, we all know that. But, I've heard some theories that Scandinavians came from west Siberia. And if that's the original Germans, then maybe Germany is more Celtic than Germanic, after all?

According to latest genetic studies, Poland is "more Germanic" than Germany.

I'm also seeing similarities between Celtic and Slavic languages, that aren't present in Germanic ones.

Maybe we just got it wrong? Maybe it's Celts, not Germans that are the most pure Europeans?
