Is Street Preaching more unique to the United States?

We have a lot of street preachers in the USA. Some are great, others not so much. Is this more unique to our United States because of our Puritan heritage? It seems in Europe religion is a very private thing. But also they don't allow free speech in some countries, where ministers can be put in jail for preaching the truth. I think it's very brave of people to preach on the street. They are walking into the Lion's Den

In France, I see more and more people with a small stand at some corner street. They give small documents about their faith to people who ask. But they never make any speech. They just stay here waiting for people to come to them.
Most of the time they are jeovah witness, sometimes protestant.

Jehova's Witnesses are considered a cult here.

Jehova's Witnesses here have the habit to knock every door to give leaflets and booklets abouth their faith, always trying to convert other people, sometimes they can be annoying, fortunately in Sardinia they are few, I think about 2-3000, and you don't meet them very often. It's about 4 or 5 years that they don't knock at my door.

I see, but that's not street preaching. As it pertains here, mostly it is Evangelical Christian done in an outdoor public place. Jehova's Witnesses are not Christian.

Those are jehovas witnesses and they are everywhere in Europe. They aren't even Christian and are completely different from evangelicals who are usually doing the street preaching. I've seen street preachers in the UK and they are mostly Americans doing it.

I've seen those debates online but what I've noticed is they seem to usually be American preachers. Even when I lived in Liverpool I saw Americans doing the street preaching

Yeah people come from all over the world; probably paid evangelical missionaries. A lot of the Christian ones are American, the Muslim ones are usually local; in my hometown you'll always see Muslims on the high street, but they mainly hand out leaflet rather than preaching with a megaphone. When I was in Birmingham one time a few years back there was some old English guy sitting on a chair with a massive megaphone preaching the bible telling everyone they would burn in hell lol.
