1. Northern Croats and Slovenes.
They are the fairest Balkan people, with relatively high percentage of blondism, especially among women. They also have stereotypical Slavic features, like round head shape, long nose and brachycephaly. They sometimes even show Germanic features.
2. Southern Croats, Hercegovian/Montenegrin Serbs and Bosniaks.
They are predominantly Dinarid and Mediteranid people, and rarely have Slavic features (maybe the least Slavic-looking of all Slavs). Dark hair and dark eyes dominate. Long convex noses, flattened occiputs and dropping ears are very characteristic.
3. Albanians.
Two groups: Dinarid Ghegs and Alpo-Mediterranean Tosks. Ghegs have very unique faces; heart-shaped. Ghegs are the most pigmented Balkan people (Greeks excluded). Convex noses, developed browridges and deep set eyes are quite common. Tosks have rounder features and bigger eyes and are a bit lighter.
4. Romanians and Bulgarians.
The main difference between the two is that Bulgarians have lighter eyes more often. Characteristic features for both are rounder faces, meso- and dolihocephaly (unlike most Balkan people who are brachycephalic), relatively big eyes, straight noses. Resemble quite a lot darker Russian and Ukrainian types.
5. Serbs.
They are good blend of Pontid, Dinarid and Baltid, which gives them very characteristic Slavic look - oval shape of the head, straight or concave noses, brown hair.
