Herzegovinian Serbs are close to Serbs/Montenegrins from western Montenegro which is former Herzegovina (Old Herzegovina - Drobnjaci, Banjani, Rudine, Nikšić). Herzegovinian Serbs are not so close to Montenegrins from Old Montenegro and Brda, escecially to second one. The biggest Old Montenegrin tribe Ozrinići originated from Neretva, but other tribes originated from Zeta and Skadar area.
Old Herzegovina is under the Montenegrin occupation since 1878 and it's artificial montentenegrized in the last 140 years.

I don't see any difference between Serbs and Croatiabs from Popovo polje, Mostar, Čapljina and Stolac, except in religion.

Had no idea, Ibra's mother has Arbanasi roots. Still don't know how true that is though.

I notice that many Montenegrins, and even Montenegrin Serbs, look heavy Albanian admixed, srsly.

There must have been some tribal mixing going on in the past. For what specific reason idk

Most of the modern Montenegrins have ancestry from Herzegovina. The difference between these 3 groups (Old Montenegro,Old Herzegovina and Highlands) that make modern day Montenegro is in accent and dialect. The culture and traditions are the same. Old Herzegovina wasn't occupied, it was liberated and willingly joined Montengro since it was part of the same cultural sphere. Modern day politics have nothing to do with those facts

Old Herzegovina is quite montenegrized today. If Drobnjaks and other Old Herzegovinians knew in 19th century that Montentenegro will became anti-Serbia one day they would never joined to Montenegro.

Well, same goes for all of the Montenegrins back then, they would never unite in Montenegroif they knew what would happen. The fact is tho that Montenegro is extension of Herzegovinian culture, separate version but still extremely similar

Yes they are, but she's still within some ''typical range''.
