My oldest known ancestor is my great-great-great-grandfather that I can track on Piedmont, Italy. Coincidentally he's my direct paternal line, and "my" Y-DNA is spot on, as it peeks in northern Italy just like his location.

I found her from a family of guy which i had many matches in MH, now we discovered that we are part of the same family

My oldest known ancestor name was Evdjen, he is my paternal line ancestor (in some censuses Efćen), our oldest known last name was Evdjenijević (Efćeniević).
According to family story (not backed up by censuses) he had two brothers, Komnen and Stojan and there is a family in a village 20 km away (Komnenović) who should be our cousins but i cant find any to do Y test.

17 generations back everyone has (2 to the power of 17 = ) 131,072 ancestors. Of those I only know 6. But I know all 16 ancestors between me and that ancestor of mine. In fact, the lineage to him goes more through women than through men.

From my AncestryDNA tree, on my Father's Mother's side my oldest known is my 14th Great Grandfather, Richard Waldron, born 1500, England.

My oldest known ancestors are on my Mother's side but I haven't added them all to my AncestryDNA tree yet.
